  1. QUESTION:
I have a sony usb flash drive removeable storage which wont work?
The sony flash drive is installed on my pc & when i go to use it says insert disk into drive f what do ineed to do or what have i done wrong
when I go to access it on my pc it say please insert disk into drive f, if i go to format it it says no disk in drive f
how can i update the driver
I can access the flash drive through my computer but it asks me to insert a disc into the drive why does it do that
I can access it from my computer but when i click on it it says insert a disk into the drive

    • ANSWER:
Do you have multiple hard drives in your computer? Some USB flash drive manufacturers, make the drive so that it must have a drive letter less than a certain letter. My suspicion is that the drive "F" is not really your flash drive. Do you have a drive at B, C, D, E, and F? If so, the flash drive may not be able to assign itself to a drive letter. Try seeing if you can reasign the drive letter to any of the lower letter drives.

  2. QUESTION:
My 40gb PS3 won't recognize the music on my Sony USB Flash Drive.?
I tested out my Sony USB Flash Drive by putting music in MP3 and WMA and put it in the usb slot, The PS3 recognizes the USB as a storage media but when i click triangle and display all, it saids it has no media in it. I also plug a old keyboard into the PS3 using a PS/2 to USB adapter and it won't display anything. Is it a defect in the PS3 or is this common?
    Should I exchange it?

    • ANSWER:
I also have a ps3 40gb. It doesn't read things within the mp3 players and other usb devices. It finds the usb but wont see anything inside it.

Shame really. You would think that 40gb is not much different to 60gb except for memory, but its a hell a lot more. 40gb cant play ps2 games, it cant read usb so cant store music/pics/videos. You can't put any folders with patches and things(might need it for updating pro evo kits etc)

However, if you put your songs on a normal cd, it would read that and that is how i got my songs and photos on my ps3 :) Hope this helps. ONLY solution for 40gb. (drag songs[or pics.videos.photos.etc] from computer to cd, then burn/write to the cd)

I got told in november that 60gb is no longer available in the united kingdom and stopped making around the world, so if you're lucky you would find some from the u.s. Would be cheaper but delayed.(if you're thinking of taking your 40gb back)

Oh and if you're not from uk, then sorry for the last paragraph.

  3. QUESTION:
Can any USB Flash Drive fit in the EXT port on the Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray player?
I just purchased a Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray player, and in order for it to work with BD Live, it needs external storage from a 1GB USB flash drive. It recommends the Sony Micro Vault Tiny drive (USM1GH), but I can't seem to find it anywhere, even online (only US Stores carry it). Can any other USB flash drive work for it, and if they do, which ones work the best?

    • ANSWER:
Amazon has them listed for around .

You can use any flash drive that will fit (I wouldn't buy anything bigger than a gig, it won't use it anyway). The reason they suggest that model is because Sony makes it and I don't know if you've looked at the back of your BDPS350, but the EXT port is recessed about and inch and a half so not many models of flash drives will fit.

  4. QUESTION:
Is it possible for USB Flash Drives or Mass Storage Devices to work in MS-DOS 6.22?
I have a 2-GB Transcend USB Flash Drive & want to use it in MS-DOS 6.22.
I have tested so many ways suggested by some well-known brands such as SONY, PANASONIC, etc.
Also some software such as DUSE, DOSUSB, FREEDOS, USBASPI, etc.
But any of them did not work correctly.

In best conditions, it was an ERROR containing : "ASPI Manager is not installed"

  5. QUESTION:
USB flash drive says "Unknown Device"?
When I plug it in it is detected but says that the "device is not working properly" and then when I see it in the Device Manager it says "Unknown Device".
It also says in the Device Status in the Properties box
"No drivers are installed for this device. "
I tried updating the driver from the option when you right-click on it but it says no device drivers could be found other than the one already there.
Oh, and I tried the troubleshooter for USB.

I have Microsoft Windows XP Professional,
and the USB flash drive is Sony (256 Megabytes storage).
I've used it before and it was working, but I don't know what's the problem now. Thank you for any help.

    • ANSWER:
one thing you should try doing is > going to the manufacturer site online and going to their driver section and downloading it.
